Why I got into this work
After previously having worked for Jobcentre Plus I witnessed a shortfall in the service offered to to our client base with Advisors not having the necessary training and understanding needed to give a valued service.
A brief history of how I got into this work
A vacancy arose with P2W in 2006 and I was successful with my application. As previously stated I moved from Jobcentre Plus where I worked in a community based project for 6 years. Previous to that I spent 8 years in the Army, worked in the pharmaceutical industry and at Bitmac refinery at Llanwern steelworks. This has given me a chance to work with people from all walks of life and was a good foundation in many ways when dealing with people on a one to one basis. I enjoy the sometimes challenging work that P2W brings and each person has their own individual problems. This role can be very satifying on times but also frustrating.
Vaious in-house training undertaken and I would like to gain a counselling qualification to enhance my personal skills.
