Educating Young People

Drugaid works with young people to educate them on the dangers of all issues relating to substance use. Our awareness raising is interactive and informative, allowing the young people to explore and challenge their knowledge and beliefs about substances.

We can offer one hour awareness raising sessions on drugs or alcohol to groups of young people, which is specifically designed to look at the trends and common issues of the area in which they live. If you work with a group of young people who you feel would benefit from some awareness raising, please contact the training team. training@drugaidcymru.com

Megadrive

Organised by Capita Symonds and held in each of the Coleg Gwent campus', Megadrive looks at all aspects of road safety. Drugaid aims to tackle the issue of drink-driving in these 20 minute sessions, with students of the colleges aged 16-18. We use driving games alongside beer goggles to highlight the dangers of drink-driving, whilst also tackling the student's beliefs about alcohol and promoting DES – designated driver.
