We offer support and training to all our volunteers. Many of our staff started their careers as volunteers either with Barod or similar services. Volunteering is a great way to learn, gain experience, train and understand the services we offer and work we do.
All of our current volunteer vacancies can be found on the Volunteering Wales website.
You can also find us on Facebook: Drugaid Cymru -Volunteering
Barod (formerly known as Drugaid) recognises that volunteers enhance the services we offer our service users. Volunteers are important to the service we provide.
How to make an application:
The volunteer Information pack contains information about Drugaid services. It may help you complete the application form. Volunteering with Drugaid information pack
Below are links to both the application and monitoring forms. Please only apply for active vacancies.
What Happens Next?
After you apply:
If your volunteer application is successful you will be invited to an informal interview. The interview will be either in a small group or with a small group of staff and/or volunteers. It will depend on the number of roles we have or applications we recieve.
Any offers of opportunities will depend on successful application and interview, completion of the induction, and background checks.
If you have any concerns about references or criminal records checks PLEASE call and talk to us; don’t let this put you off. Previous criminal convictions are not necessarily a barrier to volunteering with us.
