Confidentiality
Phoenix is a confidential, anonymous service.  We won't open a file about you or record your name in any of our records.  We record basic details for use in monitoring and evaluating the service and these do not include your name.

Information and support
Phoenix workers can provide up-to-date information about drugs and alcohol, and issues associated with using drugs and alcohol.  We can also find other informationj you may be looking for, or help you to do this.  If you just want to talk, we'll listen.

Harm reduction
Phoenix workers can give information about reducing and minimising many harms related to drug and alcohol misuse.  This includes overdose prevention, safer injecting, managing withdrawal symptoms and protection against blood-borne viruses.

In times of crisis...
It can help to talk to someone when things are going wrong.  You don't need an appointment, so just drop in to see us.  You can talk it through with one of us and try to work out what you want to do next.  We won't tell you what to do but we may know things that can help you make the next step.

Peer support
Most Phoenix workers are peer mentors.  These are service users or ex-service users who have been trained to provide support and the benefit of their experience, without telling you what to do.

The peer mentors run a service users' support group, which meets every Thursday from 12pm til 2pm.  You can drop in for the whole group, or at any time between those times.

Acupuncture

We offer acupuncture every week on Tuesday, at 4pm.  You don't need an appointment, just drop in.

If you want to know more about acupuncture before you try it for the first time, come in a little before 4pm, or at any other time when we're open, and we'll talk it through with you.

Signposting
Phoenix can work with you on a broad range of issues and if we can help, we will.  If we can't we will find someone who can.  If you need support to contact a different service we will provide it.

Gardening Group
The gardening group aims to cultivate the centre's garden, to make a grassed area with flowers and a vegetable plot.  Anyone can join the group - no green fingers are necessary.  The group meets every Friday from 1pm - 3pm.  No appointment necessary - just drop in.
